A mother accused of allowing the sexual assault of her daughter will appear before the Berlin Regional Court today at 9:15 AM. Three sexual assaults by unknown men in 2015 and 2017 are charged. The girl was reportedly four or five years old at the time of the first sexual assaults. At that time, the 36-year-old defendant was living in Lower Saxony.
In one case, the mother allegedly held her young daughter down. In the third alleged incident in April 2017, the defendant is accused of allowing a man to rape the child in front of her eyes in an unknown location.
The indictment includes charges of severe sexual abuse of children and rape, some of which were committed by omission. The woman is also accused of abusing her daughter with a sex toy. Furthermore, the 36-year-old is charged with dangerous bodily harm. She allegedly held her daughter underwater for so long in a Berlin swimming pool in March 2017 that the girl could not breathe. The child had to be treated in the hospital. Six trial days have been scheduled until August 29.
