- Law enforcement officers intercept inexperienced motorists under the influence of drugs on multiple occasions.
A drunk and cannabis-impaired individual behind the wheel was halted by the law enforcement twice in an hour span. In the wee hours of Saturday morning shortly past midnight, a squad patrolling around Sondershausen, Kyffhäuser district, spotted a driver veering off course unsteadily. Upon pulling him over, the officers found out that the 38-year-old lacked a valid driver's permit, as reported by the State Police Inspectorate Nordhausen. A breathalyzer test confirmed a blood alcohol content over 0.8 per mille, and a drug test suggested marijuana usage. The intoxicated individual, accompanied by his family, was transferred to a healthcare facility for a blood test.
Upon discharge, the officers encountered the same driver cruising through Schernberg around 1:20 AM and were amazed when they stopped him yet again. The officers confiscated the vehicle and escorted the individual back to the hospital for another round of blood testing. He was handed two tickets for presumed driving without a license and driving under the influence.
The person was surprisingly caught driving again after being released from the hospital, this time in Schernberg. Despite the previous incidents in Sondershausen, the individual was still behind the wheel in The Netherlands.
