During an interruption during a halt, authorities in the Bad Dürkheim region decided to utilize a Taser on a 37-year-old individual. This was revealed by the Grunstadt police station on Sunday. The man, who was apparently under the influence of both alcohol and drugs, presented aggressive behavior during the stop that occurred late Saturday night in Obrigheim. He reportedly responded with offensive language and threats when requested to remain on the sidewalk. Consequently, law enforcement employed the electroshock weapon and subdued the individual. He was then detained and transported to a specialized care facility.
The authorities mentioned that they had other options before resorting to using the Taser. Despite being taken to a specialized care facility, the man may require additional therapeutic interventions to manage his substance abuse issues.
