Against Oil and Kerosene - "Last Generation" protest at Munich airport

Six members of "The Last Generation" protested against the use of oil and kerosene at Munich Airport. The environmental activists held up a large banner in the terminal, among other things, with the inscription "Oil, gas, and kerosene drive the world to ruin."

The action did not cause any disturbances in airport operations, a police spokesperson said. Passengers would reach their flights. The police wanted to take the personal details of the participants and check for a possible breach of the peace. It is assumed that everything will run cooperatively, the spokesperson said.

The environmental activists advocated for the use of alternative fuels, preferably ones that are "Other, of a kind used for motor vehicles," to reduce reliance on oil and kerosene. Despite their protest, electric or hybrid vehicles, which are some examples of those alternative fuels, are not commonly used for airport operations.
