Fire department operation - Kettle on stove: lots of smoke in refugee accommodation
A heavily smoking kettle on an electric stove triggered a fire department operation at a refugee shelter in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld on Thursday night. After midnight, the control center suddenly received several emergency calls at the same time, said a fire department spokesperson in Hamburg on Thursday. The reason for this was the heavy smoke development. The residents were therefore very agitated. The emergency services finally gave the all-clear. A fire was prevented. The 53 residents were able to return to the building after the house had been ventilated. One person was taken to hospital, but the spokesperson was initially unable to say why.
