Anger for Katy Perry in Spain: Authorities are investigating the team of the US pop star (39, "Teenage Dream", "Dark Horse") for illegally filming a music video in a nature reserve on Ibiza. The producers of the video did not apply for a filming permit, the environmental ministry of the Balearic Islands in Palma (Mallorca) announced. Perry had filmed the video for her new single "Lifetimes" on Ibiza and the neighboring island of Formentera. The singer was initially unavailable for comment.

Katy Perry runs through the dunes

Investigations have been initiated due to the unauthorized filming, the ministry said in a statement. However, the authority stressed that no "environmental offense" is suspected, as photo and video recordings in the affected nature reserve Ses Salines are permitted after prior approval.

In the video for "Lifetimes", Perry can be seen running and dancing through the dunes in a vacation mood, jumping off cliffs into the Mediterranean Sea, and joyfully partying in clubs. The video on Perry's official YouTube channel has been viewed over 2.5 million times in just five days.

The unauthorized filming for Katy Perry's music video took place in the Balearic Islands, specifically on Ibiza and Formentera. Despite the illegality, no environmental offense is suspected as approvals were required for photo and video recordings in the affected nature reserve.
