Israel's defense chief advocates for additional operations in Lebanon.
Despite attempts for a truce, Israel's Defense Minister Joav Galant has declared the persistence of attacks on Lebanese targets. In Galant's words, "We're carrying on with our operation series." This statement was made following a meeting with top-tier military officials, where approval was given for subsequent deployments. The stated objective is to eliminate Hezbollah members, backed by Iran, within Lebanon and destruct their rocket arsenal. Galant emphasized, "We still have more tasks to complete, in order to safeguard the safe return of Israel's northern communities to their homes."
After intense Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, resulting in over 600 fatalities, a coalition of nations, headed by the US and Germany, plus significant Arab nations, advocate for a 21-day pause in conflicts.
Despite the international calls for a ceasefire, Israel's military continues to focus on its missions, with Galant stating, "We have important missions to accomplish, ensuring the security of our northern communities." After the approval of further deployments, the elimination of Hezbollah members and the destruction of their rocket arsenal remain top priorities.
