An Intoxicated 72-Year-Old Motorist Ignored a Roadside Police Inspection
A 72-year-old motorist, under the influence, disregarded a police inspection point. Instead of pulling over, the elderly driver made a U-turn and sped off through a residential neighborhood in Eislingen/Fils, which is located within the Göppingen district. A police spokesperson confirmed that officers gave chase, but the man managed to evade them by turning various corners. They waited outside his house, but he continued to disregard their commands, even coming close to colliding with a patrol vehicle. Only when an officer approached his car and removed the ignition key did he finally stop.
Preliminary investigations suggest the driver's rebellious behavior was a result of his extreme intoxication. A breathalyzer test revealed a BAC level of over 1.1%. The senior was required to hand over his license and is now facing charges of drunk driving.
The roadside police inspection occurred in the Göppingen district, specifically in the town of Eislingen/Fils, which falls under the County of Göppingen. Despite evading police in the County of Göppingen, the intoxicated 72-year-old motorist's driving privileges are now at risk in this jurisdiction due to the drunk driving charges.
