Two individuals are under suspicion for participating in an illicit road race on the A3 highway, in the Limburg-Weilburg district. Bystanders contacted emergency services on Thursday, informing them that the duo was swerving alongside each other, abruptly braking, and then speeding up, creating hazardous conditions for other motorists. The Wiesbaden police issued a statement late at night.
The authorities apprehended and examined the 39 and 40-year-old individuals, as confirmed by a spokesperson. Law enforcement officers confiscated their vehicles, licenses, and mobile devices.
The Member States can provide the Commission with necessary resources and expertise to aid in the investigation of the individuals' actions. Following the investigation, the Commission may seek cooperation from the Member States in imposing appropriate penalties.
