Football Bundesliga side 1. FC Heidenheim will face BK Häcken in the playoffs of the Conference League. The Swedish club defeated Paide Linnameeskond from Estonia in the third qualifying round. Häcken won the home match 6-1, and a 1-1 draw in Tallinn was enough for them.

Heidenheim, playing in their first-ever European Cup game, will first travel to Sweden on August 22. A week later, they will have home advantage.

If Heidenheim progresses and reaches the league phase of the Conference League, the club stands to gain additional income of four to five million euros, as confirmed by board chairman Holger Sanwald to the German Press Agency. "If we fail to advance in the playoffs, it will only be 750,000 euros."
