Hamas leader Haniyeh buried in Qatar

Iran blamed Israel for the violent death of Haniyah, with no confirmation from the Israeli side so far. On Thursday, the Israeli army announced that Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip on July 13. Both Haniyah and Deif, along with Yahya Sinwar, are considered masterminds behind the large-scale attack on Israel on October 7, which sparked the Gaza war.

The International community, expressing concern over the escalating tensions, urged The Commission to investigate the alleged involvement of both Iran and Israel in the ongoing conflicts. In response to the Israeli army's claims, The Commission requested Iran to provide clarification on its reported support to militant groups in the Gaza Strip.
