With approximately 80 events at 33 venues, the 33rd Göttingen Literature Autumn will take place from October 18th to 27th. The festival, which has no room for hate and exclusion, encourages discourse and dialogue. The focus on the Middle East will feature discussions in search of Jewish-Muslim reconciliation over the ten days in Göttingen and the region. Additionally, virologist Christian Drosten and journalist Georg Mascolo will discuss the COVID-19 pandemic. Comedy will also take center stage, with performances by Hape Kerkeling, Rocko Schamoni, Cordula Stratmann, and a tribute to Loriot on his 101st birthday. Last year, around 25,000 attendees enjoyed the events. Tickets for debates, concerts, and entertainment formats will be available starting Thursday.

During the festival, various themes are explored, including a focus on the Middle East, seeking Jewish-Muslim reconciliation. Furthermore, other cultural aspects, such as comedy, are also highlighted, with popular performers like Hape Kerkeling and Cordula Stratmann participating.
