A female driver died in a head-on collision with another vehicle in Edemissen, in the district of Peine. The driver of a delivery truck initially lost control of his vehicle, police reported. The vehicle veered onto the opposite lane and collided head-on with the 68-year-old woman's car. She was trapped in the wreckage and airlifted to a hospital. Despite her severe injuries, she died a day later. The 31-year-old delivery truck driver was also injured, though lightly, and transported to a hospital.
