Kicking off the 15th Lüneburg Crime Festival, on October 24th (8:00 PM), France expert Alexander Oetker will read from his latest thriller, "Wild Wine". The following evening, Austrian author Alex Beer will present her Vienna crime novel, "The White Hour. An August Emmerich Case". And on October 26th, Grimme Prize winner Sven Stricker sends his Søren into the Austrian mountains for a holiday.

The festival, featuring a total of 17 events, will run until November 7th with an encore on November 19th. "Volker Kutscher concludes his groundbreaking series about Commissioner Gereon Rath with the tenth installment, which everyone knows at least since 'Babylon Berlin' – I really wanted to offer this highlight to our audience," says festival manager Sylvia Anderle. Tickets are available at krimifestival-lg.de and at Lünebuch.

At the festival, attendees can expect various genres, including one titled "Other Worlds in Crime Literature," which explores crime fiction beyond the usual European settings. Additionally, during the Q&A session with Sven Stricker, audience members might ask about his character Søren's experiences in the unfamiliar Austrian mountains, as this represents a departure from his usual settings.
