Forestry offices offer Christmas trees from local forests
Christmas trees direct from the forester: Nine Thuringian forestry offices will once again be offering Christmas trees from December. The regional origin not only guarantees fresh trees, but also a minimal ecological footprint, the state forestry office announced on Wednesday.
Once again this year, the trees can be cut down in the forest for the festive season. This offer is particularly popular with families. This turns the selection and felling of the Christmas tree into an exciting nature event - with a bit of luck in a wonderful winter landscape.
According to the information provided, many of the Christmas trees on offer from the forestry offices are harvested during maintenance work. The selection includes native spruces, firs, pines and Douglas firs. The trees are naturally grown, unfertilized and untreated.
Customers can choose from a variety of locally sourced Christmas trees at the nine Thuringian forestry offices. Purchasing a custom-cut Christmas tree directly from the forest contributes to a sustainable and eco-friendly celebration of Christmas.
