For Rammstein, touring was a "healing act"

2023 made Till Lindemann headlines as multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct. This didn't affect Rammstein's ticket sales, and their sold-out stadium tour has just come to an end. In a statement, the band describes this tour as a "healing act".

Last year, serious allegations of abuse were made against Rammstein's lead singer, Till Lindemann. The band addresses these accusations in a farewell post on their official homepage and Instagram, titled "After the 2024 Tour". Lindemann had denied all accusations, and the Berlin public prosecutor's office dropped the investigation in summer 2023.

The band expresses their gratitude to "all our fans, friends, and concert attendees" for their support, warmth, and encouragement during the tour. The band members felt "carried on a wave of emotions" and rediscovered their joy in music and performing. Each performance was a "healing act".

However, since last summer, Rammstein has also been actively engaging with the accusations made against the band. While they take the matter seriously, they believe that "much of it is baseless and exaggerated". This internal process will continue to accompany the musicians for a long time.

Rammstein "not at the end"

According to Rammstein, they have played 135 concerts in five years, welcoming six million fans. The "massive stadium tour" has come to an end, but Rammstein is not at the end of its journey. The band's path continues, though its exact course remains uncertain.

Despite the scandal surrounding Lindemann, ticket sales were unaffected. Politically, they aim to react by creating a new code of conduct for companies and organizations in the cultural sector, and an anonymous advisory service for those who have experienced sexual violence within the music industry. As the "Stern" recently reported, the managing director of the Cultural Council, Tim Zimmermann, stated, "It must finally be understood that it is not the task of a tour manager to provide his musicians with young groupies for sexual encounters, even if it is consensual."

Despite the scandal surrounding Till Lindemann's alleged misconduct, Rammstein's sold-out stadium tour, known as a "healing act," proved that The entertainment they provide continues to resonate with fans. In a bid to address such issues, Rammstein and the German Cultural Council are working on creating a new code of conduct and an anonymous advisory service for the music industry.
