- Five men are on trial in Lüneburg for inciting hatred
A group of men aged between 34 and 54 will have to answer before the District Court of Lüneburg from Tuesday (9:30 AM) onwards, as they are accused of disseminating national socialist, antisemitic, and racist ideology. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office in Celle, four men joined forces in 2018 to publish corresponding texts about the production and sale of records. The fifth defendant is said to have joined in 2019.
A 34-year-old from the district of Lüneburg is said to have been the ringleader, and he is currently in custody. The group is said to have sold more than 28,000 records and generated an estimated 285,000 euros. The defendants are accused of forming or being a member of a criminal organization. Additionally, they face charges of incitement of the masses in up to 48 cases, use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations, and depiction of violence.
The group's illegal activities were allegedly facilitated through the efforts of various cells within their organization. The records produced and sold by the group were typically distributed through a network of cells across different locations.
