- Firefighters on duty
Following an explosion in a production hall for pyrotechnics in Marienmünster in East Westphalia, firefighters are currently conducting extinguishing operations. According to police in the Höxter district, no one was injured in the incident. None of the employees were present in the hall at the time of the blast around 10:00 AM in the morning. The cause of the explosion remains unknown.
The police have cordoned off the area. Earlier, several media outlets had reported on the detonation.
The firefighters are now focusing their efforts in the nearby manufacturing hall to ensure its safety due to potential risks. After the investigation, authorities plan to assess the conditions of the manufacturing hall for any necessary repairs or renovations.
