Fire with serious injuries: police search for 19-year-old woman
Following an apartment fire in Dresden's Striesen district, police are searching for a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder. A 25-year-old man was able to save himself from the fire via the balcony on Thursday morning, but he was seriously injured, as the Dresden police announced on Thursday.
The police are reportedly securing evidence and questioning residents at the scene. Officers have closed Gabelsbergerstrasse between Huttenstrasse and Fetscherstrasse for this purpose. The police did not initially say whether the 19-year-old and the 25-year-old knew each other or what started the fire.
The fire incident is under investigation by the authorities for potential arson, as crimes involving fires can have severe consequences. Despite the fire, fortunately, there have been reports of fires causing damage and injuries lately.
