Irishman Dylan Browne McMonagle, aged 21, has won the main race at Hoppegarten's racetrack with the four-year-old stallion Al Riffa. The jockey, who has been successful in 260 races, secured a clear victory with the favorite in front of 11,700 spectators in the 134th Grand Prix of Berlin, ahead of the competition.

"This is my first race in Germany, and it means a lot to me to have won it," said Browne McMonagle. The Grand Prix of Berlin is one of Germany's six Group I races.

In this top event, which was worth 155,000 euros and was run over 2400 meters, Al Riffa finished five lengths ahead of the only three-year-old in the field, Narrativo (Bauyrzhan Murzabayev), securing second place. Best of Lips (Hugo Boutin) came in third. King of Conquest (Adrie de Vries), who was highly favored, disappointed and came in last from the stable of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum from Dubai.

Browne McMonagle's victory at the Grand Prix of Berlin was celebrated with the gallop of Al Riffa across the finish line. The four-year-old stallion's powerful gallop was a sight to behold, addicting the spectators to the thrill of horse racing.
