Ralf Schumacher, aged 49, and his ex-wife Cora Schumacher, 47, are still locked in a bitter battle, with a surprising twist. Following Ralf's release of a chat exchange involving him, Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne, and Cora on August 16, intended to prove Cora's awareness of their relationship, Cora has retaliated. On Instagram, she shared supposedly private messages supposedly gathered on April 17, 2023.
Cora Schumacher: "I've got no other choice"
In her post, Schumacher argues that her ex-spouse is attempting to smear her reputation and label her a liar. Therefore, she feels she has no other choice but to dish out the same treatment. Referencing the chat conversation that Ralf disclosed, she maintains that she was merely seeking the truth from Étienne. In the chat conversation made public by Ralf, Cora had enquired about their marital status.
Thanks to Ralf sharing a private conversation, Cora has been bombarded with hateful remarks and slander online. "They're spreading false information about me," she laments on Instagram. "I swear on my children, I haven't lied once!"
As a result of this, Cora has chosen to share a private chat as well. In the conversation, she queries her ex-husband regarding Étienne's constant presence. Ralf responds: "Yes, he's always around. His job involves taking care of me round the clock."
Continued dispute post-coming out
It's crystal clear that Cora's intention is to prove that Ralf might've been less than honest about his relationship with Étienne back in April 2023. In April 2023, reports suggested that Ralf was already in a relationship with his current partner.
Cora recently stated in an interview with "Der Spiegel" that she only discovered about Ralf's relationship with Étienne through his public announcement. In retaliation, Ralf published a WhatsApp conversation from late 2022, wherein Cora conveyed her congratulations to Étienne, under the misapprehension that they had tied the knot.
"To clarify, Cora expressed her congratulations to us in late 2022, assuming we had gotten married. She seemed genuinely happy about it, as evidenced in this message to Étienne. I find it disheartening for Étienne and me that she's spreading so many lies. We just want to be left alone," Ralf wrote.
Cora retorted with a stinging: "How pathetic must someone be to violate privacy and disclose private WhatsApp messages to conceal the truth."
In response to Ralf's release of their private chat, Cora decided to scrutinize the chat history further, finding more messages that shed light on their situation.
The recent escalation in their dispute has led to Cora sharing additional private messages, aiming to disprove Ralf's claims and clear her name from the sustained online criticisms.
