Former football national player and Bundesliga professional Max Kruse is moving into the container of "Promi Big Brother". The 36-year-old announced this at a press event by Sat.1, which will broadcast the format again from October 7 together with Joyn. "I'm into drama. So I'm definitely looking forward to it," explained Kruse, who played for teams like Gladbach, Wolfsburg, and Bremen during his career. Recently, the footballer has made headlines due to verbal disputes with his former coaches, including former national coach Joachim Löw.

"No interest in washing anything"

It seems that some drama is also programmed for the "Promi Big Brother" container. "I think I'll also cause some friction because I'm really lazy. I really have no interest in washing anything or doing chores. That's just not my thing," Kruse announced. "But who knows? Maybe I'll become the househusband. But probably not." The format is already well-known in the Kruse family. Kruse's wife, influencer Dilara Kruse, participated in "Promi Big Brother" in 2023.

Sat.1 also introduced two more candidates for the new season. Reality star Mike Heiter (32) will move into the container, which is located in Cologne again this year. Earlier this year, Heiter was seen at the competition, RTL's Dschungelcamp, where he caused drama with a rocky flirt with his colleague Leyla Lahouar. Now he's following up with "Promi Big Brother". "If you want to call yourself a reality star, you have to be part of Big Brother," he explained.

Mimi Fiedler enters new territory

In addition, former "Tatort" actress Mimi Fiedler (48) will participate, stating that this is her first real reality format. She hinted that she might be able to offset Max Kruse's lack of interest in certain household chores. "For me, cleaning and tidying up is like yoga. I enjoy it, as long as I'm not disturbed," said the actress. She also plans to redecorate the container daily.

Sat.1 will announce further participants of the reality show at a later date. The moderating duo will again be Marlene Lufen and Jochen Schropp. Fans can also follow a 24-hour live stream from the container. Last year, reality star Yeliz Koc won the show.

Other contestants might clash with Kruse's lazy habits, as he revealed he has no interest in doing chores within the "Promi Big Brother" house. With his wife Dilara Kruse's previous participation in the show, Kruse might find it amusing to observe the dynamics among other celebrities, especially with the introduction of Mimi Fiedler, who enjoys cleaning and tidying up as much as doing yoga.
