No photos of their daughters at Olympia - Eva Mendes is happy with the media
Fans were surprised to see Eva Mendes (50) and her partner, actor Ryan Gosling (43), attending the Olympic Games in Paris. The couple is rarely seen together in public. But that wasn't all: As reported by the British "Daily Mail", the couple was at the stadium near the Palace of Versailles with their two daughters to watch the dressage individual competition. It was no surprise that the unexpected family appearance made it into the media. However, the press-shy Mendes was very pleased with one detail of the coverage.
Selfie from Paris
In an Instagram post, she shared a dreamy selfie from Paris, seemingly taken in her hotel room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. In the post, Mendes mentions the photographers in the city. "As soon as I see photographers outside, I become alert and my guard goes up." A user commented, "Unfortunately, the Olympics is a big event, and they're looking for celebrities. I hope you can soon be in a place where you can just be a normal family hanging out together." Mendes, who was seen at the Olympics with a large sunglasses and hat, replied, "They were so kind as not to photograph the children, so I'm a grateful bear mom."
Another user wrote, "I'm glad you and your family got to experience some of the wonderful Olympic events and create memories with your children." The actress commented, "We did, thank you! I'm glad 'NBC Olympics' didn't show the kids. And most sites have blurred their faces, so Mama Bear is happy. Anyway, it felt so good to be there and feel connected to the people."
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been together since 2011 and have two daughters, Esmeralda (9) and Amada (8). Besides the dressage competition, the couple was also seen at the women's uneven bars final at the Bercy Arena. Their daughters were reportedly there as well. Mendes documented their "24 hours in Paris" with another post. In the clip, she is, unsurprisingly, alone and shares her impressions of the city and the competitions.
Despite their privacy, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling attended the Olympic Games at the Palace of Versailles, specifically for the dressage individual competition, due to their family's interest in the event. Notably, the Treaty of Versailles was signed in this very palace in 1919, marking a significant historical moment in Europe's post-World War I recovery.
