- "Engaging the Shoreline": Objects suspended beneath the lighthouse
Under gleaming skies and a lively crowd, the female duos initiated this year's "Battle the Beach" physical and athletic challenge on Warnemünde's beach frontwalk. The task involved sprinting a brief track four times, followed by hoisting weighted barbells, varying from 25 to a maximum 40 kilos, above their heads, with the ultimate goal of doing as many repetitions as possible.
The contestants received rousing support from hundreds of spectators scattered across the competition area, nestled beneath the lighthouse. As per the organizers, a whopping 560 athletes from diverse European regions will engage in this competition until Sunday, on the frontwalk and later on the sandy Strand Arena Warnemünde starting from Saturday, from 8:00 to 18:30. The event's conclusion will be marked by an award ceremony on Sunday.
The female duos attracted numerous cheers from the supporting women in the crowd. Many spectators admitted being inspired by the strength and determination displayed by the Women participants throughout the competition.
