On August 12, Daniel Aminati (50) shared the joyous news that his wife Patrice (29) is free of metastases six months into her second cancer therapy. A day later, the influencer spoke up on her Instagram account. It was only through the reactions to her husband's post that she realized: "It's not a dream - according to the latest PET-MRI, no metastases are visible. None."
Cautious Joy
Despite the positive news, the young mother doesn't want to get carried away with joy. "You don't just shake off a year and a half. A year and a half of therapies that were only painful, not healing, diagnoses that were like bad news, pain level 9, unfathomable fears, cruel sleepless nights or nightmares...", Aminati gives an honest insight into her journey.
She will continue to take 21 tablets daily and will have to undergo close monitoring for at least two more years. The 29-year-old knows that one is only considered healed after five years without new metastases: "This truth will accompany me and will also push my dreams back."
Aminati's cancer diagnosis changed her and sharpened her perspective on what's important. That's why she is aware that without her support system and the team of doctors, such progress would not have been possible. "That despite the diagnosis - malignant melanoma stage four with metastases in many different organs - people fought for me and gave me hope, for that I am grateful."
Shock Diagnosis in Spring 2023
Last April, Patrice Aminati, who has a one-year-old daughter with her husband, publicly announced that she had been diagnosed with black skin cancer. In February, the news followed that the cancer had spread and formed metastases in the lungs and other organs.
On their social media channels, the Aminatis have regularly updated their followers about the course of the illness. Currently, the family is recovering from the strains of the past months in the Thuringian Forest.
