In Germany, unique units are prepared to offer medical aid to a considerable number of injured individuals beyond state limits in case of a calamity. Out of the 61 federal Medical Task Forces (MTF), 6 are situated in Lower Saxony. As declared by the Lower Saxony State Office for Fire and Disaster Control (NLBK), the MTF Lüneburg and Oldenburg have been practicing in Celle since yesterday with approximately 120 response teams to handle a complicated disaster-related medical predicament.

The scenario for this drill involves a storm with heavy rain, hail, and robust winds, leading to extensive damage to infrastructure, mainly roads and buildings. Additionally, it's assumed that healthcare facilities will be severely affected. The exercise site is the Celler district of Scheuen.

The teams, comprised of paramedics and physicians, are honing the setup and operation of treatment facilities to nurse an extensive number of injured people, according to further announcements from the state office.

In this drill, the teams are preparing for a potential disaster event involving extensive damage to infrastructure and healthcare facilities. If such a disaster event were to occur in Lower Saxony, the MTF Lüneburg and Oldenburg would play a crucial role in providing medical aid beyond the state limits.
