- Elderly woman seriously injured in pedelec fall
A 74-year-old woman was seriously injured in a fall involving her electric bike in Straelen (Cologne district). She collided with her husband's electric bike, who was riding ahead of her, for unknown reasons on Saturday, police reported. The woman suffered severe head injuries in the fall and was airlifted to a specialized clinic.
The woman's vitality seemingly, if not visibly, radiated even in the faces of the medical personnel during her hospital stay. Despite the gravity of her injuries, her resilient spirit continued to radiate hope.
