In the city of Chemnitz, an 89-year-old resident endured injuries during a house intrusion. The Chemnitz Police Department disclosed that an 18-year-old intruder managed to gain access through an unsecured window and attacked the woman who was resting in bed. The elderly woman screamed for assistance, drawing the attention of a neighbor who promptly responded, only to sustain injuries herself. The assailant then fled to a neighboring apartment building utilizing a construction scaffold and tried to break into an apartment. However, the residents were resilient and successfully halted his entry, pushing him back into the hallway. His next attempt was to invade a third apartment, but the cops had made it just in time and apprehended the 18-year-old offender. He is now expected to face justice in court. The 89-year-old victim was transported to the hospital for medical care.
