- Driver killed in collision with truck
A 61-year-old driver of a car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on a state road in the Regensburg district and died. As reported by the police in Regenstauf, around midday she had veered onto the wrong side of the road while driving uphill from Kallmünz to Dallackenried and collided with the oncoming tractor-trailer. "The 61-year-old truck driver from North Rhine-Westphalia steered his vehicle to the right into the guardrail but could not prevent a collision of the vehicles," the police said. The car driver from the district died at the scene, the truck driver was taken to the hospital with shock.
