Darren Criss named his second child after a sibling.
Actor Darren Criss, known for his role in the television series "Glee," recently got fans talking when he shared a picture of the birth of his second child. In the image, it looks like Criss's first child, two-year-old Bluesy Belle, holding sunglasses on the face of a newborn.
The caption of the post, however, caught everyone's attention: "M & D just delivered their follow-up single. Brother László Criss. 6/3/24. Out now."
Criss later clarified in the caption, "...and yes his first name is Brother."
There was a mixed response in the comments, with some joking about whether the two children were named after the Blues Brothers from the famous movie, played by John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd, while others expressed concern.
"Darren ... I adore you ... But you just doomed your kid to mockery for the rest of his life," one person wrote.
Criss tied the knot with writer and producer Mia Swier in 2019. The couple had been dating since 2010 and share a love for music.
During a 2022 appearance on "The View," Criss explained the story behind his daughter Bluesy's name, saying, "Her parents are musicians, but she's named after her grandfather's eyes. My father had very blue eyes."
