Damage to property at several bank branches in Eilenburg
Several windows, doors and vending machines have been damaged at a total of five bank branches and a discount store in Eilenburg, Saxony. After securing evidence and initial investigations, a suspect was identified and convicted, as the police announced on Sunday. A breath test carried out on the man revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.32 per mille. The 33-year-old is now facing charges for suspected damage to property. According to the police, the damage caused is in the upper five-figure range.
The individual, having been convicted for damaging bank property in Eilenburg, was also found to have an excess alcohol level. This incident led to substantial damage to several bank premises, including vending machines.
