- Confiscated Marijuana Plants During Raid on Flower Shop
In an operation within Hamburg's Schanzenviertel district, authorities confiscated more than a hundred cannabis plants from a flower shop. Alongside the plants, equipment and pre-sale cannabis were discovered, as reported by the authorities.
"We were unaware that the activity was still illicit," a worker from the flower shop informed Bild. The authorities had to enlighten them on the matter. "We were misinformed and blindsided. It won't happen again."
Following the cannabis legalization, organizations known as cultivation associations are permitted to distribute the substance to their members without earning a profit. However, dealing in shops continues to be prohibited.
The worker expressed surprise, stating, "We were unaware that the activity was still illicit in our flower shop," due to misinformation they had received. Despite the recent legalization of cannabis cultivation, selling it in shops remains prohibited.
