- Child falls from boat in Duisburg harbour - diver operation
A child fell from a houseboat into the water of the Duisburg inner harbor. Dive rescue teams searched the water and the shore for the approximately five-year-old child, as the fire department reported.
After a brief search, they found the child in the water. They immediately began CPR and transported the child to a hospital by ambulance. The fire department had 40 personnel on the scene. The incident occurred in the evening. Further details - such as about the child or the cause of the accident - were not yet known.
The rescue team managed to locate the houseboat where the incident occurred. Despite being in a houseboat, the child was unable to stay afloat in the water.
