Chicago's WNBA novice Angel Reese continues to etch her name in the league's record books.
Although the Sky suffered a 82-80 defeat against the Connecticut Sun on their opponent's home turf, Reese managed to join Tina Charles as the only novices in WNBA history to log multiple 20-plus rebound contests.
Scoring 13 points and collecting 20 rebounds, Reese achieved yet another milestone by being the first player in the WNBA to record back-to-back 20-rebound games.
Every time Reese steps onto the court, she seems to obliterate another record.
Just earlier in the week, she broke the record for being the quickest player in WNBA history to notch 20 double-doubles in a single campaign and has also overtaken the previous mark for the most sequential double-doubles in the league.
However, despite her remarkable individual successes, the Sky have experienced a setback, losing three out of their last four matches since the Olympic break.
Currently, Chicago stands at 11-17 in the season standings and holds the last playoff spot, maintaining a slim advantage over the (10-18) Atlanta Dream.
On Friday, the Sky came up mere points short against the Sun, whose performance was spearheaded by Marina Mabrey's exceptional shooting.
The ex-Chicago player drained five 3-pointers and ended up with a game-best 24 points off the bench.
With a season average of 13.6 points and 12.6 rebounds, Reese will be given another chance to steer the Sky back to winning ways when they face the Las Vegas Aces at home on Sunday.
Reese's impressive rebounding skills in WNBA games make her a standout in the sport. Despite the team's recent setbacks, Reese continues to break records and strive for victories.
