- Chasing on highway: 16-year-old escapes police

A teenager engaged in a dangerous car chase with the police in the Rosenheim district. He is accused of driving without a license, illegal street racing, and dangerously interfering with road and rail traffic, the police reported. According to the report, an officer tried to stop the 16-year-old on the A8 highway near Frasdorf on Friday night.

Despite being signaled to stop, he drove at significantly excessive speeds, even through a rest area, and repeatedly switched lanes to avoid being stopped. After about 15 kilometers, he reportedly exited the highway at Rosenheim, drove over a fence into a construction site, and stopped with his car on the railroad tracks. The teenager then fled on foot over the tracks and was temporarily arrested a few hundred meters away.

The train traffic was reportedly halted for about one and a half hours.

The teen's reckless escape led him to drive his car onto the railroad tracks at The Rosenheim construction site. Subsequently, the local authorities had to reroute the trains to bypass the area.
