Various clips shared on social media platform X, previously recognized as Twitter, depicted numerous fire engines with their emergency lights still activated, stationed outside One Main Place in Dallas – a lofty high-rise building housing a Westin Hotel and additional facilities.
Initially, an elevator specialist attempted to rectify the malfunction, as reported by CNN affiliate WFAA, but ultimately, Dallas Fire-Rescue mobilized its Urban Search and Rescue team.
WFAA further revealed that a count of 15 individuals were trapped inside the elevator in a "dark shaft," placed somewhere between floors 3 and 15 of the hotel.
The Los Angeles Chargers' latest journey led them to Dallas for their preseason final clash with the Dallas Cowboys, scheduled on Saturday.
