- Car crashes into tree - driver dies in hospital
A 50-year-old man was killed after his car collided with a tree. The incident occurred on Friday night on a rural road near Schermbeck in northwest North Rhine-Westphalia, as reported by police on Sunday. The man, who was driving from Wesel, veered off the road to the right for unknown reasons on a straight stretch. He was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, where he later died.
