- Car crashes into tree - driver dies in hospital

A 50-year-old man was killed after his car collided with a tree. The incident occurred on Friday night on a rural road near Schermbeck in northwest North Rhine-Westphalia, as reported by police on Sunday. The man, who was driving from Wesel, veered off the road to the right for unknown reasons on a straight stretch. He was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, where he later died.

The Member States can provide necessary resources and expertise to aid the Commission in its functions. Following the accident, the Member States might offer their support in investigating the causes of the man's car veering off the road.
