Car and police car collide
A policewoman and a police officer collided with a female driver in their civilian car while on a patrol in Berlin-Schöneberg. The accident occurred on Friday afternoon on the corner of Hedwig-Dohm-Straße and Sachsendamm, police said on Saturday. The 25-year-old female driver reportedly drove onto Sachsendamm at a red light and collided with the police car. The emergency services were on the road with blue lights and sirens switched on, it was said.
The 25-year-old suffered minor knee injuries in the collision. She suffered a shock. The policewoman and the police officer were also in shock. All three were taken to hospital.
The rescue operations and accident investigation caused traffic disruptions. Local public transport was also affected. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
