- But back to her maiden name

Finally, some peace for Amira (31) and Oliver Pocher (46)? On July 29, the couple, a year after their separation, attended their official divorce hearing. In the days leading up to it, the comedian didn't hold back on public jabs at his ex-wife, repeatedly demanding that she drop his last name. Amira, whose maiden name is Aly, refused. However, it seems she's now willing to revert to her original surname, as Oliver Pocher revealed in the latest episode of his podcast "Die Pochers! Frisch recycelt" (exclusively on Podimo).

Right at the start of the newest episode with his first wife, Sandy Meyer-Wölden (41), Pocher deliberately addresses his recently divorced, second ex-wife as "Amira Aly," stating that she will indeed take back her original name.

Amira Pocher: "I don't want the name"

"There was also this discussion about the name and everything around it. I've explained why I think one shouldn't have this name anymore and it's not a given," Pocher elaborates. According to him, Amira supposedly smugly stated in court, "I don't want the name."

Pocher can't understand why Amira was so adamant about not returning to Aly. "What are you giving up? Because the only one paying here is me. I never get anything for free in court. [...] I'm always the one who has to pay for something," he vents.

Sandy Meyer-Wölden doesn't understand the name debate

Sandy Meyer-Wölden, who also went by Pocher after her marriage to Oliver until their 2014 divorce, can't comprehend Amira's insistence on keeping the name. "Without judging," she says, it would have been "no option" for her to keep her ex-husband's last name - she willingly dropped it despite her complex maiden name. The American-born woman doesn't want "two or three Mrs. Pochers running around."

"I still find Amira fantastic," Meyer-Wölden clarifies, expressing understanding for her pain and hoping the two women, who were previously good friends, can reconcile.

Divorce "not yet legally binding"

Despite his anger, the divorce hearing has been on Oliver Pocher's mind. "It's not a great event. It's not something to be proud of or look forward to," he explains. His ex-wife was also very emotional in court, with many tears shed. Currently, the divorce is "not legally binding yet."

The presiding judge decided that "nothing should go wrong now," and the divorce will only be pronounced. It will be sent to both parties and their lawyers in writing. Oliver Pocher expects this to happen in the coming days: "And then it's legally binding. And then it's really over."

Despite the ongoing divorce proceedings, Oliver Pocher frequently visits Sandy Meyer-Wölden's 'Sandy Meyer forests'. In the latest episode of his podcast, he mentioned the name change discussion, stating that Amira refused to return to 'Aly'.
