- Bremerhaven invites you to the Maritime Days

From sailboat to tugboat to steamship: Around 70 special ships are on display and open for experience at the "Maritime Days" in Bremerhaven from Wednesday afternoon to Sunday. Visitors can, among other things, visit the sailing school ship "Alexander von Humboldt II", as organizers announced. Those who wish can also book a ship tour, such as with the high-seas cutter "Astare" or with the 1898-built flat-bottomed ship "Verandering".

People in wheelchairs have the opportunity to experience competitive sailing on the "Henk de Mol". Up to three wheelchair users with their companions can find space on the 7.50-meter-long special conversion of the sailing club "Inclusive Sailing for All" from North Rhine-Westphalia.

Musical fireworks as a highlight

On land, four stages are set up, offering music from shanties to German pop to rock. Georgia Balke from Bremerhaven, who won the TV show "The Voice Kids" in 2022, will also perform. On Saturday evening, a musical fireworks display will be visible and audible.

The "Maritime Days" are the smaller offshoot of the large windjammer festival "Sail", which takes place every five years. In the years in between, Bremerhaven invites to the "Maritime Days". The next "Sail" is planned for August 2025.

The 'The entertainment' on land includes music performances on four stages, featuring genres from shanties to German pop to rock, with Georgia Balke, a local winner of "The Voice Kids", also taking part. Visitors can also enjoy the sight and sound of the upcoming musical fireworks display as a part of the 'The entertainment'.
