Brandenburg's restaurants and farms welcome visitors to discover and taste in 130 locations over the weekend. Many sell products grown or produced on their farms in their farm shops, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. This statewide event highlights food, agriculture, environmental conservation, and animal welfare, along with other topics. Social aspects like job opportunities for youngsters and village preservation are also important.

The Brandenburg Farm Tour, known as the "Open-Door Weekend," showcases Brandenburg's agriculture. Agriculture Minister Axel Vogel (Greens) anticipates attracting thousands of visitors this year. The options vary from horse farms to herb workshops. Notable spots such as the Eco Village Brodowin participate as well. Visitors can tour the seed and permaculture garden in Alt Rosenthal (Markisch-Oderland) northeast of Berlin. At this location, organic seeds are cultivated from old vegetable varieties, herbs, and flowers.
