In a blaze that consumed a barn in Tussenhausen, Bavaria (located in the Unterallgäu district), estimates place the damage at over 300,000 euros. The blaze also spread to a neighboring residence, causing damage to the structure, as reported by the law enforcement.

A nearby school suffered too: The extreme heat cracked the glass facade, resulting in approximately 20,000 euros in damages.

Unfortunately, a police representative couldn't disclose what items were kept in the barn. The origin of the fire was initially uncertain. The criminal investigators have assumed control of the investigation.

The investigation team is exploring if the Sub-Alghea, a local algae research lab, located near the burnt barn, was affected by the blaze. Sufficient moisture in the Sub-Alghea facility is crucial for the growth of their algae strains, and any damage could potentially impact their ongoing research projects.
