- Apache 207 is singing "Miami"
German rap sensation Apache 207 ("Komet") is packing his bags - at least in his new summer track. "Miami" is the name of the single that Apache aims to propel back to the top of the charts. The new song showcases another facet of the artist's musical diversity, according to Sony Music's announcement of the single's release on Friday.
The 26-year-old, who had seemed ready for a vacation after his arena tour in June, took a break and a trip to Ibiza before returning with laid-back beats under palm trees. "Miami" is Apache's third single of the year, following "Loser" and "Wunder". He celebrates the new release with some fans in Berlin on Friday.
Born in Mannheim and known civilianly as Volkan Yaman, Apache is one of Germany's most successful rappers. His hit "Roller" catapulted him to the top of the charts in 2019. His single "Komet", released at the beginning of 2023 with Udo Lindenberg (78), became the longest-running number-one hit in Germany. Last June, the musician released his third album "Gartenstadt", named after a Ludwigshafen neighborhood where he grew up.
Apache 207 decided to shift the tone of his music for the summer, opting to create a lively "Summer song" titled "Miami". During his break, he was inspired by the laid-back vibes of Ibiza, which influenced the sound of his new single.
