Anti-Semitic graffiti continues: police investigate
One month after the terrorist attack on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza, the anti-Israel and anti-Semitic graffiti and spray-painted slogans in Berlin have not stopped. On Thursday, the police once again reported that there had been "various acts of damage to property in the city area in the form of graffiti relating to the Middle East conflict". There are similar reports almost every day, sometimes involving slogans "in the form of painted anti-constitutional and pro-Palestinian lettering", sometimes involving Israeli flags being burned or pictures painted on the floor of sports grounds.
The escalating conflicts and tensions in the Middle East have also fueled local instances of extremism. Unfortunately, this has resulted in an increase in crime, such as the continued appearance of anti-Semitic graffiti and property damage.
