- Another threatening email at Erfurt Gutenberg High School

At the Gutenberg Gymnasium in Erfurt, school operations have been suspended due to a received threatening email**. According to police, the premises were evacuated and cordoned off on Wednesday morning upon receiving this message.

Law enforcement officers, accompanied by dogs, were deployed to inspect the area, a spokesperson explained. As of now, school operations are suspended until further notice.

The Gutenberg Gymnasium gained international attention in 2002 due to a school shooting incident. It remains unclear at this time whether the current threat is genuine.

Thuringia is not the only region affected by such threats. Various schools in Thuringia received threatening emails at the start of the new school year. A series of bomb threats also occurred last fall, which the police later deemed non-credible.

The threatening mail caused a significant alarm, leading to the suspension of classes at the Gutenberg Gymnasium. Authorities are vigilantly investigating similar threatening emails that have been received in other schools across Thuringia.
