Once again, a musician has caused a stir with a last-minute concert cancellation. Anastacia cancelled her performance in Freiburg on Sunday evening just one hour before it was due to begin. The reason given was an acute illness, as announced by the organiser.
Anastacia was originally scheduled to perform at the Zelt-Musik-Festival in Freiburg on Sunday evening. However, just one hour before the concert, which was due to start at 8 pm in the circus tent, the American singer cancelled her appearance.
The organisers announced the bad news on their Instagram page: "Due to an acute illness, Anastacia is unable to perform. Therefore, the concert has to be cancelled at short notice. We are trying to reschedule the performance for the next Zelt-Musik-Festival in 2025, and tickets will remain valid. No further details about her health have been provided. Given that Anastacia has battled breast cancer twice before, many fans are now very concerned."
Anastacia also posted a statement on her Instagram page, apologising to her fans: "I'm so sorry that I have to cancel my performance. My doctors advised me not to perform. I was really looking forward to it and I hope to be able to come back soon. My team is working on finding a new date. So please keep an eye out for updates in the coming days. Sorry again and I hope to see you all soon."
