- Alba starts season prep - full test programme

Alba Berlin kicks off its preparation for the new season in the Basketball Bundesliga and the Euroleague on August 14 with voluntary individual workouts and medical checks at the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin. Five days later, the first team training session will take place, as Alba has announced. The first test game will be played on September 1 against the Veolia Towers Hamburg in the MBS Arena in Oranienburg.

After the test game debut, the team coached by Israel Gonzalez will face off against the Rostock Seawolves in Bernau six days later. Following the games against the two Bundesliga rivals, the Berliners will fly to Antalya for the Gloria Cup on September 12. In this dress rehearsal one week before the Bundesliga season starts, Alba will play against Euroleague opponents Anadolu Efes (September 12) and Zalgiris Kaunas (September 13), as well as Turkish first division team Tofas SK (September 15).

There will be a quick rematch at the Bundesliga opener. On September 22, Alba will play against the Veolia Towers in Hamburg, followed by the home premiere against the EWE Baskets Oldenburg on September 28. On October 3, Alba will start its Euroleague season with a home game against the current Euroleague champion Panathinaikos Athens.

After analyzing the opponents in the Antalya Gloria Cup, the team might discover new strategies to utilize against other teams, especially those in the Euroleague like Anadolu Efes and Zalgiris Kaunas. Post-season, Alba Berlin will face various challenges, requiring the team to adapt and perform well against other strong Bundesliga opponents.
