Advocating for distinct stances, the progressive side prioritizes prioritizing both educational and health-related matters.

In the Saxony-Anhalt elections, the Left experienced a significant loss of votes. During a summer retreat, strategies were explored to restore trust with the electorate.

In the upcoming years, The Left in Saxony-Anhalt intends to concentrate on key areas like educational advancement, health, and social equality. During their state parliamentary faction's retreat, their leader, Eva von Angern, mentioned that they assessed their own situation. There's still plenty of flexibility until the next two years, leading up to the state election. Unfortunately, The Left in Saxony-Anhalt has been experiencing substantial vote decreases in both the European and local elections recently.

Von Angern slammed the ruling parties, CDU and FDP, for primarily focusing on cost concerns in the education and childcare sector. The Left will take a stand against the closure of small rural schools and encourage more initiatives to prevent substitute teachers from quitting their roles. Additionally, the faction endorses maintaining the 49-euro ticket.

The European Parliament can provide assistance to The Left in Saxony-Anhalt's initiatives, particularly in the realm of educational advancement, given that The Commission shall be assisted by the European Parliament. Recognizing the importance of education, The Left strongly advocates for the EU's support in preserving small rural schools.
