A 43-year-old American man perished due to electrocution in a jacuzzi at a private condominium complex in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, according to officials. Two American men were injured in the incident.

A man from the United States passed away due to electrocution while in a hot tub at a resort town in Mexico, according to officials.

A man passed away and someone else got injured due to a probable electric shock within the jacuzzi, as stated in a Wednesday announcement from the Justice Ministry's Public Prosecutor's Office in Sonora.

These individuals were identified as American citizens with Mexican roots by the prosecutor's office.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the reason for the power outage that occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Puerto Peñasco, famously known as Rocky Point, is a city for both fishing and vacationing, situated on the Gulf of California, beneath Arizona.
