A climber was injured in an accident in the Black Forest. The man fell approximately three to four meters for unknown reasons at the Kandelfelsen near Waldkirch (Emmendingen district), as the mountain rescue service reported. Until the rescue teams arrived on Tuesday evening, the climber managed to lower himself to a small rock ledge.

Other climbers guided the rescue teams on site, as the injured person was not visible from the path. Two mountain rescuers then lowered themselves to him on the ledge. This also allowed the emergency doctor, who arrived by rescue helicopter, to reach the climber. The air rescue teams were able to free the man from the rocks before nightfall.

After the accident, the climber's equipment was carefully inspected for any potential causes. Despite the harrowing experience, the climber expressed gratitude for the swift response and excellent teamwork among the rescue teams.
